| | Milies village |
| Milies was one of the ten most populated mountain villages in Plomari, with a population of 400 in 1920. It is the most easterly village in the municipality, and the next village is Karyona, in the municipality of Gera. Despite its desertion (2-3 inhabitants during the winter), it is one of the best maintained villages in the Plomari mountains, with a lovely church, public spring and a traditional coffee house where the village's celebration takes place the 29th of August. Castelos hill is nearby, where there are the ruins of a castle from the middle ages and there are ancient stone and cobble pathways throughout the area. | |
| Millias church |
|
 | It is a part of the Plagia province and is located at an altitude of 400 metres, above the villages of Plagia and Trigonas. Some of the village's houses are used to lodge volunteers, who come from all around the world to assist with activities related to the preservation of the environment. These include path clearing, spring maintenance, and rebuilding the drystone walls and terraces. Milies also houses the headquarters of the association for the preservation
of deserted villages, which works to look after all aspects of the local environment. |
